Welcome to
Tidbits & Beat!

The creative and cultural exchange festival that selects international artists and professionals with the goal of holding workshops and performances in Brazilian communities.

In our 5th edition, we celebrate diversity through culture with attractions that bring a unique point of view of how everyone can be included and be an active part in arts and other cultural expressions.

Between November 23 rd and December 16 th , several locations such as: Cubatão – SP, the Rocinha community in Rio de Janeiro – RJ, Itatiaia – RJ, São Paulo – SP, Petrolina – PE and Camaçari – BA will be able to participate in an exclusive and inclusive art program in its most diverse forms.

The inspiration and foundation to our project are:

Diversity:

A celebration of human diversity through culture. In Brazil, culture collaborates to repair structures of exclusion and intolerance in our society. Therefore, it is important to reinforce diversity as a cultural value.

Democratization::

Free access to both culture and means of cultural promotion and expression. Therefore the project, in addition to presentations, also allows communities to receive knowledge and tools to collaborate with the production of their own cultural manifestations.

Creative exchange:

The project aims at the exchange of knowledge and an intercultural dialogue. It is by understanding the other that we recognize ourselves and establish stronger bonds.

Cultural citizenship:

All people have the right of access to culture, as stated in art. 27 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UN).

Culture of Peace:

The exchange of knowledge seeks relationships of recognition and respect for the different cultures of the world, betting on dialogue and negotiation as a way of resolving conflicts.

AMONG THE VARIOUS ACTIVITIES IN THIS EDITION, WE HIGHLIGHT THE ANIMATION WORKSHOP AND DEBATE ON PROJECTS CARRIED OUT DURING THE EVENT. PRESENTATION OF SHORT FILMS BY SEVERAL INTERNATIONAL AUTHORS RELATED TO THE DIVERSITY THEME. ARAB DANCE WORKSHOP FOR PEOPLE OVER 60 YEARS.
